Has anyone ever scratched their heads and thought that why are there so many communal differences in the people of India? Hindus, Muslims, Sikh, Christians, Parsis, are all products of the same one and not different from each other. Each of them have their own superhero with their own personal values. So then why do so many disputes exist between religious communities over Gods and beliefs? Each one believes in their own superhero and follows the values of those. So then why is it that the people decide the fate of their young ones even before they have opened their eyes to this beautiful, limitless world?
The irony of all this is that all the values taught by all religions are the same, just preached in a different manner by the followers of their own hero & yes, sometimes even misinterpreted. That’s where the problem arises. No wonder there has always been a rampant widespread of communal violence, fights, riots over building temples and mosques. Why should anyone be forced to follow a particular religion when they have the right to follow whichever religion they want? The day people will have answers to these questions is the day when India will actually be called a developed nation, a nation which every country will look up to with pride and honour. Evading religious barriers between the people of India will bring prosperiety and unity among the nation and its people.
When I was in school, no one dared to tell me that I should like Superman more than Batman because the former was stronger. I had made my choice, I had my belief in the superhero I chose, so why the hell can anyone force me to follow Hinduism, Buddhism, or to be a Muslim or a Sikh. I live my own life and have my learnt my values bit by bit from each one of the superheroes and will continue to do so. How can one person decide the fate of thousands, let the individuals decide who they believe in and not be forced upon by some priest, maulvi, pandit or anyone for that matter of fact.
If you see the facts and the history of India, you will see that millions of people have died, lost their houses, lost their family members, been mentally and physically devastated, why? The answer is in the difference of their perception about their beliefs and values, showing that one particular religion is superior than the other. This is not limited to India, we can see this happening across the globe. Every single day you open the newspaper, you read about at least a few hundred people dying in a blast or a terrorist attack.
I think it’s time for the people of India to stand up for their own belief, have the right to follow any religion they want, and stop these nonsensical arguments over temples and mosques being destroyed and created. Forget the past, live in the present, and think about the future. Build new temples and mosques in the country, why cry over the ones which do not exist anymore and kill more and more people over the fate of something that dosen’t exist anymore.
Terrorism in my sense is just another form of communal violence which is at a much more destructible level than anything else. It prevails solely because of religious differences and nothing else. Terrorism today has shaken the world and divided it into small affected parts of its doing. The past attacks in Mumbai have shown us the level at which the terrorists have gone. I think it’s time that people wake up from this horrifying nightmare and start afresh, in a place of peace, harmony and spirituality.
Let us together change the fate of India and not India itself into a battlefield where in the river of the pure Ganga flows the blood of lakhs of innocent people and at the peak of our Himalayas lie the bodies of those who fought for protecting every common man like you & me because of which this whole cycle of terrorism and religion prevails in this beautiful heaven created by only one Superhero, who has been divided into a million parts because of the greed for power and superiority.
To end it, I would only like to say one thing…
Don’t follow a particular religion, but follow all. Learn the good values from each one & then see how your life will evolve into bliss when the good of all religions will flow into your soul. It is then you will see the true spiritual path, attain nirvana & understand the true meaning of life!
